While studying for her degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, Angie was introduced to a college ministry and was challenged to give her all to Jesus. Beginning as a freshman, she received one-on-one discipleship and a solid foundation in the Word of God from that ministry and served in a leadership capacity during her time at UT.
She moved to Fort Worth, Texas to pursue a degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her roommate invited her to a church where she was introduced to the things of the Spirit. Her relationship with Jesus was radically changed. She has remained in that church for 21 years and has been serving on staff in the children’s ministry for over 4 years. She currently oversees and pours into teams of people who serve children ages birth to 3 years.
While studying for her degree at Southwestern, Angie met her husband, John. They were married in 1997 and both graduated. That same year, she and John were introduced to Becky Castle through their pastor and many friends who had been mentored by her. Becky held a pilot class for The Exchange at Convergence Church in Fort Worth where John and Angie were a part. They are currently second year students in the Exchanged Life Track as well as being a part of the CCI Exchange Fort Worth team to take that message into their city. They have been friends with Becky and many involved in the CCI ministry since 1995 and continue to walk in and deepen those relationships. Angie lives with John and their 5 children in Burleson, TX.
In addition to serving on staff at Convergence Church, Angie facilitates a ministry founded in 2002 called Womb 2 Grow that gives emotional and spiritual support to pregnant moms, the babies in their wombs, and those who want to become pregnant. She also takes her passion for the next generation to know God into Cook Children’s Hospital through Fort Worth Alliance for Children, where she can love and bless babies and children who have been taken from their parents due to unfortunate circumstances.
